Tip of the Day – 6/29/09

If you ever get stung by anything in your aquarium, run vinegar over the site and and rinse with warm water. This won’t necessarily alleviate the pain, but it will prevent you from getting stung any further. Put an anti-pain or anti-itch cream over the area and be sure to bandage it properly.

When removing algae from the aquarium, be sure to get all the floating bits of algae that break away from the handful you are removing. The pieces that break away can reattach in other parts of the tank and start a new growth.
