Dip all incoming corals in an iodine solution, before you put them into your tank. The process is simple. Place the coral into a cup of water and add 6-15 drops of Lugol’s Iodine (or other iodine product with a 6% or more concentration). Wait for about 10-15 minutes and swirl the water and blast the coral with water from a turkey baster. This process will kill off most pests before they enter your aquarium.
