When spraying your home for insects, be sure to cover your aquarium during the process. Some people lay a plastic sheet over their entire aquarium, making sure to seal it tightly. This is fine for a short while. But as CO2 builds up in the water due to improper air flow and gas exchange, the pH will drop and your livestock may not get enough oxygen.
