Be sure to check plugs and power outlets for salt creep and water splash. As your tank splashes water, dried salt accumulates on plugs and other equipment and can eventually be dangerous with the potential to start a fire.

To rid your clams of pyramidellid snails you can do many things. Manually inspect and remove the snails, siphon the sand around the base of the snail, or purchase a parasite eating fish such as a wrasse.

Want to get more water flow from your Maxi Jet powerhead? Add an impeller/propeller from a Hydor Koralia 4 into your Maxi Jet and you will see a tremendous amount of flow increase. This mod requires the use of a new impeller shroud.
