Back in June of last year, LiveAquaria shared with the world their rare achievement of breeding McCulloch’s clownfish. We pounced on the story and wrote multiple articles following updates from LiveAquaria. We watched with amazement as the clownfish grew to maturity, and now the guys at LiveAquaria have announced (via their Facebook Page) that their tank raised/bred McCulloch’s clownfish are going to be available to purchase for the first time.
The clownfish are not currently listed in the Diver’s Den section yet, so a price hasn’t been released. But, we think the price will be somewhat less than the typical $5000+ asking price for a pair of wild-caught adult clownfish.
