You can purchase a relatively cheap UPS (Uninterruptible power supply) and plug just your pump and or pump and heater into it. Depending on your tank size, it could keep everything running for up to a few hours during a power outage.

i agree, but once the ups has expended it’s energy, you cannot recharge it again without electricity. a generator can run forever provided there’s enough gasoline on hand.
