Update to “New ZEOvit Filter Media”

We recently announced the release of the New ZEOvit Filter Media, but at the time we wrote the article, there was little information about how the media was different than the old media. Well my ZEOvit guru over at the ZEOvit Forums has informed me that, “the zeolites [have] been refined some by Thomas [Pohl]. [It] contains more tiny pieces of stones/bag than before with a improvement in SPS colors (brighter).”

So there you have it, the new ZEOvit media have been improved on in size mostly. I’m assuming the smaller stones per bag yields a higher surface area for bacteria to grow on.
