Porcelain Crab, Up Close During Feeding

Here’s another gem from the guys at the Morphologic Blog. This video is of a Porcelain Crab actively feeding on plankton drifting by. The crab can be seen combing the water with its setae while sitting stationary on the underside of a rock. Additionally, if you pay close enough attention, you can see another set of appendages picking food from the setae as the crab moves them across his mouth.
